What is Resin-Bound?

Resin-bound is made from a mixture of natural stones and coated with a clear UV-resistant resin. It is also known as ‘trowelled’ paving. To guarantee each stone is coated in resin, the resin and stones are combined in a force-action mix process to form a mixture that is poured onto the driveway or area to be covered.

The mixture is then hand-trowelled to form a smooth, constant surface with no loose stones. Resin-bound surfaces require little maintenance and will look as good as new with a simple jet wash.

We lay the mixture straight onto your concrete or tarmac drive without excavating. This means you get your new stone gravel drive laid fast, simply and cleanly. We can complete most jobs within 1 or 2 days. And the resin only takes a few hours to dry, so you can quickly get back to using your drive the next day. Result: a gorgeous gravel drive without the usual loose chippings.

New Driveways

For your newly prepared driveway footings we can use a permeable system, which comprises of a layer of porous asphalt on your base, with a top surface of resin-bound paving. This system is permeable and so complies with all the SUDS regulations.
